Notifications On Android smartphone are used to let us know when emails or messages received when Important tasks are due, or when your best friend or loved one posts something funny on Facebook. However, you’re not always prepared to deal with notifications when you get them on your smartphone. You can reschedule or snooze notifications in your Android Oreo instead of dismissing and forgetting about them totally.
How To Reschedule Or Snooze Notifications In Android Oreo
In previous versions, you could reschedule or snooze notifications using third-party apps like Notif Log. Now, you can snooze notifications directly in Android OS 8.0 Oreo. When you snooze notifications on any android device, you temporarily stop notifications, which you don’t have time to deal with at the current time, but you don’t want to delete those important alerts. The notification through this Application will alert you again later so you don’t forget it in future.
If you get a notification, and you can’t deal with it right now, swipe right or left slowly until you see the clock and gear icons as you can see in below screenshot. Don’t swipe too far away or else you will dismiss the current notification. Now, tap the clock icon.
The notification is snoozed or rescheduled for one hour by default. To change the limit of time for which the notification is snoozed, then tap on “Snoozed for 1 hour“.
You can undo the snooze also by tapping “Undo” on the right.
You can see The Three additional options for snoozed notification. First, Tap on “15 minutes“, “30 minutes“, or “2 hours” to change the total limit of time.
Now, You can see The new time displays where the notification time in below image.
A half an hour later, the Facebook notification which I snoozed returns to remind me I should deal with these now.
However, Persistent, or ongoing notifications, cannot be dismissed(stop) or snoozed. These notifications are coming like a USB connection or like the antivirus notification in the above following screenshot. They provide the awesome and best status of apps and features that are already running in the background on tour Android Oreo Smartphone.
